October Fun

My parents grow enough pumpkins every year that all the grandkids get to go to their own little private pumpkin patch. There is horses and motorcycles rides and you can't beat the price!!

This is about the most artistic we get in our house!!Lincoln smiles and laughs all the time now and it is so much fun
Saturday night was spent making 50 caramel apples. The apples turned out really good!!

Just taking it all in
Sunday afternoon we drove up Butterfield Canyon to look at the leaves and ended going up all the way up to the top where you can look down into the mine. The boys loved driving through the mountains and thankfully no one went tumbling down the hill
Brotherly love!! Someday they will best friends I just know it, okay maybe I just HOPE it!!


I think that sometimes October is just as busy and fun as December. Every free second we have is doing something fun and festive for the season. Now if I can just find time to turn my sweet boys into scary vampires!!

The BIG 30

For JD's birthday I surprised him with a weekend trip to Salt Lake!! Totally sounds dumb but we had a blast. We dropped the kids off Saturday afternoon checked into our hotel and then headed to the Utah game. Sporting events are 100 times better when you are there.
Can you tell by the smile on his face how happy he was. After the game we went swimming and then walked around Salt Lake at 11:30pm looking for somewhere to eat because JD was starving, we thought it was maybe 10.
Sunday we slept in until 9 and it was heaven. We then went to the breakfast buffet at The Grand America and boy where we out of place. It was fun to see how the wealthy eat and interact with others. Some good and some we wanted to slap across the face. After receiving the bill we agreed that, that was a once in a lifetime experience, even though the food was delicious. Later that day we got to tour the roof of the conference center and then headed back to the pool.
Monday we did our 8-mile run up City Creek Canyon. I love to run while on vacations because there are so many new and exciting things to look at. After training for a marathon I swear I have been on every street in Herriman a dozen times. We then made one last relaxing trip to the pool before saying goodbye to our relaxing weekend in the city.
We got home from our weekend in Salt Lake and headed to the lake. Here is Kaden learning how to surf.

FIRE

What a crazy, exciting and scary night. It was amazing to watch the fire come up over the mountain and then seriously race down the moutain. I wasn't scared at all at first because the wind was in our favor. Even though the fire was a mile away we could sit on our front porch and not smell a thing. But then we took a drive over to my sisters circle and there was smoke and ash everywhere and my heart got pumping. I went home got a few things packed and watched the fire from the boys bedroom.

Day Trip

This picture depicts Ty perfectly. His face looks sweet and innocent but when you realize what he is really up too, it usually is not sweet and innocent.
I seriously couldn't love this baby anymore!! He is the sanity in my life!!

Over Labor Day weekend we spent the day up at Smith and Morehouse (I have no idea how to spell it) with JD's parents. It was a lot of fun the boys loved spending time with their grandparents, playing by the campfire and going on a hike.

Football Season

We all watched the first Utah game together, all the little boys fell asleep in front of the TV!!!
Way to go Utah!!

Yes we have a traitor in the family. His best bud/cousin loves BYU !! Someday he will come over to the right side :)

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL? I use to loathe, despise, absolutely hate fall because of football. It meant losing a husband for a few months. But this year I am actually semi-excited for it. My boys especially Tyler love to wear their football jerseys and watch part of the game with their Dad. Also I have thought of a ton of projects I can do inside the house while all the boys are hanging out with their Dad in front of the TV. Don't get me wrong I enjoy watching part of the big games, I just can't sit still for that long all the time.

Batman Is Real

JD and I had just dropped the kids off at my sisters house to go on our weekly date and as we were driving down 134000 so. we saw BATMAN'S car in the parking lot of Cyprus Bank. So we got out and took pictures for the boys. The next day when we were showing them to the boys Kaden's response was, "See I just knew that Batman was real this just proves it!!" He then proceeded to ask if we saw Batman and I said no I think he was having an ice cream at IceBerg and we didn't want to bug him!
So don't worry everyone who lives in Herriman Kaden has had Batman show up to a Birthday party and now he has seen his car so he is REAL and Herriman City will be safe under his care!!

Lincoln's First Haircut

Lincoln was born with quite a bit of hair but he always had a little bald spot in the front, right in the middle so when his hair got to be about two inches long it looked like he had horns!! He was still totally adorable of course but it was time for a cut so we buzzed it off and I love feeling his soft little hair. It is already coming in blond, another JD look a like has arrived he couldn't be happier!! I love my blond hair boys too.

Can I just say I love my little baby sooo much!! I have never really enjoyed having a little baby around the house but he is the sweetest best little baby ever. The other day he was playing on the floor with his favorite toy while I was helping Kaden with his homework. When we were done I went over and started talking to him when Kaden said, "Oh there's little Linc I thought he was asleep" I replied," He is just a good quiet little boy huh" "Yeah we should call him Mister Quiet" I love, love, love to hold, cuddle and kiss his chubby little cheeks!!
