First Two Weeks

 Love our sweet angel!!
JD decorated our yard and front porch with pink balloons. What a great hubby :)
Lincoln has been so great and soft with Kennedy. He loves to hold her and throws a temper tantrum when ever I take her away!! He loves to look at her and pinch her nose!!
Tyler LOVES  to hold Kennedy and tell her stories. While at my parents house my Dad taught him the story of Goldilocks and The Three Bears. This is his favorite story to tell Kennedy!!

It has been so much fun playing dress-up with Kennedy. She is one amazing little baby...the first couple of nights were rough but after that she has had a week of going to sleep around 9:00 then waking up at 2:00 and then not again till 6:30!! Hallejulah for me :) She never cries and is just one content little girl. We are so lucky to have her in our home and to be able to be her parents.

A big huge thank you to my Mom, Dad and my sister for all their extra help with my kiddos, to all our friends and neighbors who have brought over meals, treats, gifts etc. We have been overwhelmed with how nice everyone has been so thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Kennedy Alisa Dunn

Ready to go to the Hospital!!

Love this pic my boys are already watching over her!!
A week before we took the boys to Build-a -Bear so they could make Kennedy one!! They love to show her, her bear :)

Lincoln got to the hospital and made himself right at home. He laid there on my lap eating and every once in awhile he would look over at Kennedy. I think he was claiming his territory :)
 My sweet Mom
JD is beyond amazing work was crazy as usual when we have something planned!! I sure he was stressed to the hilt but never let me know.
 My Dad
 JD's parents
 Amanda & Colby
Brittany she was so excited to have another niece. She has 9 nephews and now 3 nieces!!

I got induced on February 6th!! I was a bundle of nerves and emotions the night before going to the hospital and the morning of. We got to the hospital and the equipment to monitor the baby wouldn't work. So after a switch of the technical equipment and four pokes in the arm to run my IV we were ready to go. After a month of contractions every night and being emotionally exhausted I didn't last long without the epidural but after I got it, it was smooth sailing. 2 hours and 3 pushes later Kennedy was born. She came out and my cute doctor said, "She is one SOLID baby". She weighed 8 lbs 4 oz and 20.5 inches.

I can't thank my Mom, Dad and sister enough for all their help in taking care of the boys. My Mom especially was wonderful!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

There is always a story with JD and his job this time was no exceptions.... the week before one of his FedEx drivers got hurt and can't work for the next two weeks or more. Then that Monday morning he had an Ontrac driver quit. He has a great partner at Ontrac who took care of everything :) But FedEx was super busy Amanda & Camille worked but it was still so busy that my Mom got the phone call, " Hey Judy it's JD could you go pick up Alisa from the hospital I have to go work?" Of course she was more than willing. While he was on his way to FedEx he decided to screw it and deal with the consequences later. He called and told me he was on his way, I broke down into happy tears. I love JD more than anything and am so grateful for everything he does for our family!!

30 years WOW!!

Happy 30th Birthday to me!! It was a great day, I went to lunch with some amazing friends, my Mom and Brittany. I then was able to drag JD furniture shopping to Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn, HomeGoods!! No I didn't buy anything but it was so nice to spend a couple of hours with JD just walking around and dreaming big :) That night we had a few people over for cake and ice cream. Poor JD he wanted to plan something big but with me being due any day it was very tricky. We decided next february we would celebrate my 30th and our 10 year anniversary together by going on a cruise!! Anyone who wants to join we would love to have the company :)

I started to think back over the years and analyze have I "lived" a good life since high school and made the most of it? Here is  what I came up with

1. Had my dream job of being a waterski instructor for a summer
2. Had  a trip of a lifetime to Australia, private beach in Mexico and went to Hawaii
3. Got married to the most amazing and happy person in the world
4. Graduated with my Bachelors from University of Utah
5. Had 2 homes
6. I am a mother of 4!! Love, love, love my boys and sweet little girl :)
7. Ran 2 marathons, qualified for Boston

I have had an amazing life with amazing people in it!! I am excited to see what my 30s bring :)

Looking Back

Kaden June 28, 2004.... We were not very good about taking pictures I think we were more than just a little overwhelmed in the hospital!!

Tyler June 15, 2007... Notice JD is in his FedEx outfit he almost missed Tyler being born. Good thing Tyler is a patient little boy and waited in the birth canal for thirty minutes while JD was driving back from Park City. Funny thing he was in such a hurry but his fedex truck had a max speed of 70mph semis were passing him!!

I love Kaden's little face I can't believe how fast they grow.

 Lincoln June 3, 2010....

Proud big brothers!!

When thinking back over having a brand new baby there has ALWAYS been a HUGE project attached to it. I don't know if JD and I are just really bad planners or we like to completely wear ourselves out but either way something is always going on when I am pregnant and have a new baby.
Kaden: On our drive home from the hospital we found out our offer on our 1st house had just been accepted :) The house was a HUD home and required a total overhaul :( So JD was up in Bountiful with his Dad everyday remodeling the house while I was in Riverton with a screaming baby!!
Tyler: I graduated with my bachelors about a month before having Tyler and we built our house now in Herriman and moved in 2 days before Tyler was born!!
Lincoln: We decided to redo our backyard... add a walkout, deck, and all new landscaping
Kennedy: We are finishing our basement :)

Don't get me wrong I am so grateful for all the projects we have done I just wish we would have thought things through a little better. But now that we are done having kids, we better be done doing projects or at least big ones!! I am ready to play and enjoy our backyard, basement and house!!

This pregnancy has been the hardest... (not that I have bad pregnancy's) I have been more emotional. It is not uncommon for my boys to find me crying for really no reason. My belly is poking straight out and is HUGE and I  mean HUGE!! Doing ordinary tasks has been difficult, I can't even hold Lincoln on my lap he has to sit to the side when reading books. My legs hit my tummy when walking up the stairs it makes me laugh every time. I have had heart burn, reflux whatever you call it and have learned how to sleep sitting up which I am sure will come in handy down the road. It is a good thing I am so uncomfortable because to be honest I have never been this nervous to have a baby. HELLO I still have a baby and he has gone from sweet and innocent to I am going to make everything as hard as possible. I know everything is going to be okay and I will LOVE having a new baby around. I am so excited to see her and get to know her personality. Only 4 more days until I am forcing her out... Monday I get induced :)
