Christmas Day 2008

Christmas has never come so fast in my life. This year Amanda, Camille & I worked for JD as the best looking Fed Ex drivers you have ever seen. We would take turns working and watching kids which worked out great besides the week before Christmas when JD needed both of us everyday. Luckily I have amazing parents and neighbors that watched the kids while I was out playing Santa Clause. Thank you, thank you, thank you I appreciate it so much!! Before I knew it, it was Christmas Eve we got the cookies made for Santa went to my parents house for the Reeves family party and off to bed to prepare for the fun day ahead.

"Gratitude"was what I was feeling all day on Christmas. With the economy how it is and so many people struggling I was so grateful for all the many temporal blessings I have in my life. I am so grateful for a husband who never gives up and doesn't get discourage with all the "FedEx stories" that happen. If there really is such a thing as bad luck JD has it especially around Christmas time!! I sat back on Christmas morning and watched my kids opening presents in a warm and beautiful house and was i

Christmas morning we woke-up at 5:30 am opened presents played with toys and then weathered the raging storm over to Amanda's house for some yummy breakfast came home shoveled out the fedex truck and more snow, then went to my parents house were my Mom had made each family the cutest teepee for the kids to play in. Next we headed up to Bountiful for a yummy dinner and more presents, we thought we were done dealing with the snow for the day looked outside and the bizard had followed North so we jumped in the car and slowly got home. On the way home I asked Kaden, "So what was your favorite part of the day?" He replied, "all the parties." I couldn't agree more!! What a GREAT Christmas
Kaden's first glance at what santa left for him under the tree!

Tyler pretty much stayed on my lap all Christmas morning, he was still recovering from an ear infection
Tylers favorite present was a woopie cushion he just sat there and laughed and laughed!!
Kaden got a Leapster
Since Tyler and Kaden decided to wake-up at 5:30am he was a little tired and fell asleep at my sisters house during breakfast!!
All the Reeves cousins (except Stew & Ashlynn we missed you) in Grandma's new chair
A lot of the Dunn cousins waiting to open their presents from Grandma & Grandpa
Tyler and his new train from Grandma Dunn

Temple Square Adventure

"Mom can I go yet"
JD, Kaden and Ty all bundled up

Riding trax, Kaden loved it
The boys!! The quote of the night by Parker, "This is amazing"
Kylie, Kristy, Tessa and Aaron

I love going to see the lights every year but with JD work it makes it a little challenging sometimes. I knew Monday was our only chance of being able to go the plan was to leave at 5:00pm catch trax and eat dinner uptown somewhere then look at the lights. Well JD and I got home from work at 6:00 and ran out the door. We thought that we could find a food court in the mall across the street from the temple but it didn't exsist. We finally found out about a place in the Joseph Smith Memorial building but it closed 7 minutes before we got there. So after a quick tour of the lights we had a disgusting dinner at JB's. (It really was the worst food I have ever ate) While at JB's we had a scary incident with Shawn. You know everything went wrong that possibly could of but it was still a lot of fun and it was great to be with friends!!

Gingerbread Houses

Kaden's finished project, with a little help from Mom
Nothing is better than a gingerbread house with a coke bottle on the top

JD & Kaden, JD was a little tired from work!!
Colin, Adam and Cole!!
Brittany and my Dad
Jaxson and KayciGrandpa and Tyler playing ball!!

Last Sunday night we had the annual gingerbread house creation party at my parents house. My mom is nice enough to buy JD and Colby their own kits so they don't have to share with the kids!! Kaden loved making his house and was excited to have a gingerbread man fall off the roof and splatter to the ground below!!Thanks Mom and Dad for the fun night, and thanks Mom for playing with Tyler so I could help Kaden create his masterpiece. Stewy we missed you.

My Boys Favorite Things To Do

Tyler absolutely loves to be pulled around on the hardwood floor on a blanket. He lays down and holds on as tight as he can and when he falls off he comes chasing after the blanket ready for more. Kaden takes him on this joy ride the most and it is so much fun to watch them play together. Sometimes though Kaden gets a little inpatient and will take off when Ty is still standing up. When I am done pulling him around I give him a stuffed animal and he takes it for a ride.
What more could a kid want?
Peek-A-Boo!! Kaden loves to build forts and make homes out of everything. Everyday after I am just finished making my bed he crawls in between all the pillows into his little "home" until you can't see him anymore. A few weeks ago me a him made a big fort together in my room. He loved it he took naps in it and even slept in there for 3 nights. Every night while I was putting Ty to sleep JD and Kaden would crawl in there with a flashlight and book and read stories together. It was pretty cute!!
We used every blanket in the house and every towel that I had just finished folding from the laundry!!

6th Anniversary!!

This is a little late our Anniversary was November 23!! How fast time flies bye, I think back to the first night we met country dancing, I had never met someone so optimistic and happy!! JD is the love of my life and my best friend. He always knows how to make me smile and there is rarely a dull moment in the Dunn household with JD around. He is either wrestling with the boys ( somehow I get caught in the crossfire), chasing them, making someone laugh or throwing his hat at the TV because his team is losing. I am so lucky to have a husband who loves my rebellious attitude, is home with our family a lot and who looks past all my faults (ex. don't cook). People always said when we were first married that your love will grow, I thought they were full of crap, but every year seems to get better.

For our anniversary we went out to dinner at Market Street Grill with the Gunn's and Mortensen's and laughed our heads off. I don't think I had any mascara on after dinner since I was laughing so hard I started to cry. Thanks guys for making the night so much fun!! JD and I have never really ever bought each other anything for our anniversary so this year we went all out and bought a GMC Denali, we call it Denals and I love driving it!!

I am excited to see what new adventures are ahead of us in our marriage. I am positive there will be more laughter, more fights and a heck of a lot of FUN!!

Deck the Halls

Christmas has arrived at the Dunn household and I love it!! JD was great and set up all the trees for me without me even asking. He also did the lights which look wonderful. I love Christmas time all the wonderful smells, getting together with old & new friends and spending time together as a family!!
Here is the tree in Kaden and Tylers room. Kaden and I spent a night making the paper chain. Tyler and Kaden decorated the tree, Ty enjoyed breaking and eating the candy canes more than putting them on the tree.
This is the tree in our living room. It still needs a few touches like a tree skirt but it is almost there.
I wasn't planning on having three trees but JD remembered we had another tree downstairs so we set it up in the office right in front of the window, I love driving by it at night!!
