All the girls (Amanda, Amber, Angie, Lauren, Sydney, Jessica) came and spent the night at our house. JD was so sweet and set up the tent trailer for him and the kiddos to sleep in. We were watching the weather all night hoping we would miss the storm the next morning... No luck the rain started as soon as the gun went off. It was a wet and cold race, but still really pretty.
I was going to run the race with Brittany Smith but we got there just as the gun went off so she set off without me. It was kind of nice running alone because I felt no pressure but it sure did get boring after a little bit. I ended up running it in 1:45:49 which was a little disappointing because it was the same pace as my marathon. Overall it was a great adventure and fun to have lots of friends run it!!
