INTENSE

Lincoln is our INTENSE little boy, he is either really, really happy...really, really mad... really, really loud... or really, really sweet.

What Started It All...

This is the little blue house that caused us to put a for sale in our yard (for the 20th time) and now we are moving out in a week in a half. Long story short.... I was browsing the internet looking at houses in different places, why, because my sister had just moved from Herriman ALL the way down to Riverton and I wanted to have a change too. I found this blue house that has been recently renovated inside and was in the PERFECT location. Right across the street from PineView Resevoir.  So I showed it to JD, came up with a crazy plan like I always do, but this time he was on board with my crazy plan. So after a lot of homework and phone calls we got this house under contract and then put a sign in our yard. About 3 weeks later our house was under contract... I still cannot believe everything that has happened and fallen into place. When we started this adventure I told JD it would take a miracle for it all to happen. Miracles do happen!! We still have some more homework to do but if everything works out we are planning on moving the first of January.

The beaches and lake right across the street
All the fun barns the boys get to explore and play in and some we get to tear down.
The view opposite of the lake, our property goes all the way back to the tree line, yep 17 acres of.......work. :-) Actually our plan is to develop that land into some lots....any one interested???

The lake is really low rightnow but were all those yellow weeds are, that is where the lake is!!

Binky Bye, Bye

I have known for a while that I needed to get rid of Lincolns binky but kept on delaying for fear of the backlash that could happen. I wanted to make sure I would be able to still be a some what kind and patient Mom, even though I would probably have a non-stop screaming kid day and night for at least a good couple of weeks.
To mentally prepare myself & Lincoln I would tell him that after Daddy's birthday we are going to tie your binky's to Daddy's birthday balloons and have them float away high into the sky. I did this weeks in advance ( I really think it was more for me so that I couldn't chicken out).
Well the day came. After a few trial runs in the house I realized that one binky would take at least 2 balloons. So I told Lincoln he needed to throw his other one away in the big black garbage can. He did it no problem :)
The last binky around all tied up and ready for take off.
I had Lincoln let go of the balloons all by himself. I don't know if I would have let go.

Watching the balloons float away. It was a great success :) At least 15 times a day for about a week he would ask where his binky was. I would tell him it went high in the sky to Heaven "to Heaven" was his reply and then he would be okay. It went so much better than expected :) Things are still a little tricky in the car but nothing that a sucker can't solve!!

Since I never got around to making an appointment with a photographer I decided to do a little photoshoot of my own in Kennedy's room. I think she is one cute little girl!! I love how easily she smiles at us ALL the time.
My photography assistant needed some shots taken of his cute mug!!

April turned 30!! We headed to PF Changs and had a great night catching up with everyone and laughing. I am so lucky to have so many good friends :)
Lauren is having a girl :) We had a fun shower for her where April made everything look amazing.

NOOOOOOO....

I knew Lincoln was going to get hurt because of how much he loves to climb and how fearless he is but I thought we would end up with a broken arm, collar bone, etc. Well nope he completely knocked his front tooth out while climbing on a playground at Kaden's soccer practice.
The Story: I was sitting on the grass with Kennedy talking to my sister while Lincoln and Tyler played on the playground I looked over and saw him fall on some fake rock stairs, I also noticed a white thing fall to the ground. Then the crying started I ran over picked him up and carried him over by the car to get some wipes to clean up the blood. Well after examining his face and remembering the white thing I saw fall I looked in his mouth and sure enough the tooth was gone. I ran over to the playground got the tooth, (which was all in one piece) asked Amanda to keep my kids and I was in the car, on my way to the dentist, determined to save the tooth. I drove to the closest dentist office...they were closed. I called my dentist Dr. Holt. He was still at his office, YES, then the conversation preceded. Me, "Josh, Lincoln knocked his front tooth out of his mouth I am on my way can you re-implant it?" Dr. Holt, " Alisa you do not re-implant baby teeth, if it was a permanent tooth we would." "NO that is not what I want to hear can you do an implant or anything?"  "No we can't... bring him in I will check his other teeth" "Okay"   I was ticked I did not want my cute little boy to go without a tooth for 6 + years are you kidding me. The family pictures are going to look funny, I did not want a funny looking kid. Totally vain I know. We got to the docs office, his other teeth were fine, he didn't even have a fat lip. The dentist gave him a cute container to put his tooth in and we were on our way.  This happened October 2, 2012. Since a few weeks have gone I have gotten use to my hill billy boy and think he still looks pretty darn cute :)

Happy B-Day JD

JD turned 32 and it was pretty uneventful. The boys got him some tool boxes and I got him some shirts. That night we headed down to City Creek for the first time. The kids loved it.

While I left JD and the grandparents in charge so I could go browse GAP Kids super fast Kaden and Lincoln got soaking wet in the fountains. It was a cold night... I had to make my way back to GAP and purchase some new shirts for Kaden and Lincoln. After they got their nice warm sweatshirts on Kaden said to Tyler, "see don't you wish you got wet... we got new shirts"  Not the thought process I was looking for.
Grandma Dunn was showing Lincoln around her 2nd home :)
