January Fun

We are in the process of finishing our basement.....YEAH!!  My brother-in-law Colby is a plumber so of course my boys love to watch what he is doing. I came downstairs one night after giving Lincoln a bath and found JD on the jack-hammer my boys with ear plugs and cleaning out the holes. They were in Heaven...

 so of course Lincoln had to join in, after the fun was over everyone got a shower and new pajamas.  It was so cute when Colby brought in the bath tub Kaden said, " Mom that was nice of Colby to buy us a bathtub!!" I responded with, "It was really nice of Colby but we will pay him back, this is Colby's job and what he does everyday."  Kaden, " It is.." Now maybe he understands what it means to be a plumber!!

 These brothers are for the most part the best of friends, one day I found them snuggled up together watching TV.  I love to listen to their conversations. Tonight at dinner Kaden asked Tyler if he knew what a mexican wedgie was... "What is it Kaden" "It is where you pull their underwear clear over their head or you can call it a Texas wedgie. I made up my own wedgie called an atomic wedgie which is an automatic wedgie". We hold very intellectual conversations at our dinner table :)

 This winter has been more than amazing, I have made it to the park or outside a ton and I have had a very healthy family (knock on wood). So when it snowed the other day and JD actually had to shovel the driveway I had fun taking pics of Lincoln and Tyler playing in the snow.

 Tyler was a great help he even started shoveling the snow off the grass and back onto the sidewalk.

JD got home from work early the other day and laid down on the floor. Lincoln laid down next to him and put his face right next to his to find his nose, eyes, ears, etc. When JD had dozed off Lincoln just laid on him snuggling with his Dad. Lincoln has been the best little snuggler. Today he wrapped his little arms around my neck and squeezed as tight as he could. His cute little face was squished next to mine and he did it over and over. They were the best hugs ever!!

Hotel Party 2012

 Every year my awesome grandparents rent a hotel room for every family on my Mom's side. We then party all night long in the banquet room, playing board games, eating lots of food and watching people play Just Dance. This year there was a talent show. My cute Grandma had a poem from Annie memorized and then my grandpa would interject and try and scare all the little great grandkids in the front it was so cute and fun.

 (My aunt Debbie, aunt Penny and My Mom) sang Dancing Queen from Mama Mia!!

 Then the guys joined in along with my aunt Alida and Uncle Mike and they sang waterloo!! My Dad is in the middle in the blue and black!! It was hillarious I was laughing the whole time!!

There was lots of other fun acts too. It was a party to remember!!

 Of course there is always lots of swimming while at the hotel. Luckily my Dad was kind enough to take my little boys in the water since I had no swimsuit that would fit over my 8 month prego belly and lets be honest I was more than content watching from sidelines :)

Jazz Game

 Best Buddies

On the Jazz's opening night Kaden's junior jazz team got tickets. One of his team mates wasn't able to go so they gave their tickets to us :) The whole family got to enjoy the game. I thought for sure that little Lincoln and I wouldn't make it past the first half.  Who knew all I had to do was give the kid a tray full of popcorn, his own drink and seat. He was happy the WHOLE game it was great!!  It really was a fun night and the price was perfect :) I only had to take like ten breather breaks on the way up to our nose bleed seats!!

Love My Lincoln

 Lincoln is always trying to be just like his older brothers after Tyler gets done showing me his preschool papers Lincoln puts on his backpack. It's just a tad big for him!!

 My little Lincoln is a climber and is always finding ways to put himself in danger to keep my constant and undivided attention. Somehow he has wiggled his way under the stove admist all my pots and climbed up on the shelf!! You never cease to amaze me my cute little baby :)

Temple Square Lights

We had a great time at the lights this year, it was uneventful and the boys especially Lincoln loved seeing all the lights!!

UNO Night

 We got to host UNO night at our house during the month of December and I found this fun game for the boys to play. Each family had a sack with a candy bar, candy canes, tape, a chocolate santa and some other little candy and then they had 10 min. to build a sled that we raced. The boys loved it and of course things got competitive!

Cole, Drew, Tyler & Kaden. Cole and Kaden use to play together when they were under 2. Actually Cole's Mom Katie is an angel and use to watch Kaden for me while I finished up my bachelors up at the U of U. It was so much fun to have them back together again. I wish Katie and I lived closer :)

This party was also an ugly sweater party and of course I ran out of time and didn't end up finding one for me or JD. But don't worry JD made his own. He put on a tight referee shirt and left the zipper all the way undone and then hairsprayed, yes hairsprayed his chest hair so it was nice and fluffy. You gotta love JD :) It was a great night!!

Gingerbread Houses

I love all the fun family traditions we have around Christmas Time!! Lincoln loved climbing up on the table and eating all the candy!!
