DisneyLand

After the wonderful trip Kaden and I had to Disney land last year I convinced JD to go for a couple days before our San Diego trip. We also made Ty and Kaden a deal in January that if they read their scriptures every night we would go. Our timing of days was not the best, it was crowded. But the kids still loved it. Lincoln was even entertained with everything to look at.

Tyler was the most excited to go see Mickey so it was one of the first things we did!!

Waiting in line for the Toy Story Ride!!

It was a mad dash to make our 6:30 am flight. We arrived at the airport at 6:00 and thankfully for the family line we made our flight with 2 minutes to spare :) It really was nice just walking onto the plane and not waiting around in the airport, even though I am sure I have plenty more gray hairs that will need some coloring.

Lincoln on his first plane ride he did great and had fun being passed between Mom and Dad over the seats!!

We attempted to see the World of Color, but went to get our fast passes 5
minutes too late. But we talked to three different employees and they told us were to go so we could still see good. Boy were they wrong and after an hour of saving our spot dealing with two tired kids and having Kaden fall asleep on the ground we could not see a dang thing..... so we left!!

I Cut a Bat in my Hair

About a month ago JD was working late again and the boys were content watching TV so I took Lincoln and ran down to Little Ceasers to grab a pizza. As I was giving everyone their pizza Tyler says, "Mom do you like my haircut?" So I finally look at Tyler and I could not believe my eyes. "Tyler WHAT have you done? Have you even looked in the mirror?" So he ran to the bathroom and comes back with the reply "Mom I cut a bat in my hair!!"

"Where did you get the idea to cut your hair?" "From Ms. Angie (his preschool teacher) Mom I have never had my hair cut with scissors before " I am assuming that some girl in his preschool had just gotten a haircut and he wanted to see what it was like to cut his hair with scissors. So he got his kid scissors and stood in the kitchen and chopped away.

At first I wanted to scream we were leaving in a week to San Diego and I wanted some cute family pictures on the beach... but lets be realistic I am 5 1/2 months pregnant. Then I realized how thankful I was that he is a boy and a quick haircut would solve the problem.

It's A GIRL

That's right I am getting my girl :) I say MY girl because JD has always said he didn't want a girl he was fine with all boys. I think the thought of a girl just has big 'ol $$$$ next to it!!

My doctor is awesome, when I went in at 17 weeks I asked if he would take a sneak peek so I could find out what I was having. When he told me it was a girl I sat there in shock and then said, "Are you sure". He politely explained the girl anatomy too me. I thought for sure if I found out I was having a girl there would be tears streaming down my face but no. Besides just being in shock I had a sense of fear come over me and I got nervous!! Probably because I had flashbacks of me in 7th grade.... SCARY!!

I went into to Kaden's class to volunteer that afternoon and his reaction was priceless. He had the biggest smile and gave me the biggest hug and then ran to ask his teacher if he could tell the whole class. This is going to be one lucky little girl, I know Kaden and Tyler will treat her like gold and I am hoping Lincoln will help keep her out of trouble.

Two weeks later I went in for my official ultrasound and it's still a girl. We are 99.5% sure her name will be Kennedy. It still doesn't seem that real to me, but I can't wait to see what she looks like.... JD insists she will have blond hair and blue eyes just like him... and I can't wait to see her melt her Daddy's heart!!

Go UTES

54 to 10

Dear Kaden & Tyler,

I know your uncle Colby has steered you wrong into liking BYU. My hope as a mother is that same day you will see the light or just look at the score board to see that UTAH really is the team to cheer for. Me and your Dad still love you and we will never give up hope :)

Love,

Mom

After listening to our boys tell us all week that Utah was going down it was great to be awakened to the news (yes I fell asleep during the game) that Utah killed BYU. Even though the next day in the car Tyler was still saying that UTAH stinks and they were going down. Oh when will they see the light :)

Enjoying the Last Days of Summer

Enjoying the Herriman Beach!!
You would never think he can be such a peel!!
We spent Labor Day morning at Utah Lake and then the afternoon at my parents riding motorcycles and watching the kids swim. It was a great day!!

Oh how I dread the last days of Summer. Don't get me wrong I LOVE fall weather it is just the sickness of winter that is unbearable at times. So please SUN and warm weather stay around for as long as you can!!

Random Pics from August

Tyler loves to read books to... the TV, his stuffed animals, etc. I always find him reading books just the same way as Miss Angie does.
Colby and JD taking Lincoln down the slip-n-slide he would scream the whole way down but kept going again and again!!

Tyler's 2nd Year of Preschool

Don't let the scowl fool you he was soo excited to go

Yeah Tyler started preschool on August 23, 2011. This is his second year with his teacher Miss Angie and he absolutely loves going and has so much fun. He makes sure to obey ALL the rules at ALL times. He is so mellow and patient that his teacher referred to him as a "Teachers Dream". We love you Tyler and so excited for all the fun and new things you will get to learn this year!!

P.S. If you ever want to teach your other two brothers how to be a little more mellow your Mom would appreciate it :)
