OUCHHHH

Who ever thought backyard soccer could give you such a goose egg!! JD, Kaden and Jaxson were in the backyard practicing soccer, before their soccer practice. One goal was positioned in front of our swings the other in front of the rock wall (DUH what were we thinking) Anyways JD kicked the ball and Kaden running full speed made sure that the ball did not go into the goal but then he ended up tripping over the goal and his face collided with the rock!!
We took him into the insta-care where they ended up doing a CT scan because the doctor saw some clear drainage in his noise and she told Kaden it was the best goose egg she had ever seen. He was very proud!! He was such a trooper and everything came back normal. It was nice to spend 3 hours with just him and JD with no where to go. I was reminded of how sweet my Kaden really is. He loved getting his picture taken and was excited for JD to send it to Colby and my Dad!! We love you little buddy and are glad everything turned out okay!!

The REAL Decision

To Fart or Not to Fart That is the Question
The other day I was a stress case and to apologize to my kids in a round about way I was saying, "Boys Mommy is really stressed, sometimes when you get older you have to make some hard decisions, so please be good today!!" Tyler responded with " Like to fart or not Mom?" I died laughing I love this kid he is hilarious.

FYI

I bet you didn't know that when raising baby chicks you not only have to give them food, water and make sure they are warm enough..... You also have to make sure that there is no poop stuck to their bum!!!! If there is it makes it so they can't go poop and they DIE :(

So tonight I got to stick two of my 4 chickens bums in warm water then rub the poop off with a q-tip. After that they were put under the hair dryer (which I think they actually really enjoyed) before returning them to their domain.

I am actually really proud of myself for doing it. It took me 5 minutes of staring at the chickens and a call to my sister before I would even dare pick one up. I seriously contemplated waking Kaden up to come help me. I survived and I bonded with some chickens on this snowy Friday night. (JD was gone to a movie, otherwise I would've left him in charge)

Happy April Fools

I came home from a great date with my hubby to this waiting by our door!!
Earlier that day my sister Amanda and family stopped by to tell us they were on their way down to my parents to put their bed in the living room, fill the bathtub with goldfish, etc. After they left and we were getting ready to go I thought to myself is she really going to do that or is she just trying to get us out of the house. So I called my parents to make sure they were working out in the field, then put our house on lock down. We had just gotten to walmart to buy the fish, when my sister called and said, "Abort, abort" My parents had come back and almost caught them.
After my parents saw their bed in the living room they decided that ALL 4 girls where to blame so we all got 4 chicks we get to raise!! They also decided that they needed to give our kids the opportunity to learn about taking care of animals since we won't even buy a dog.
SERIOUSLY, I didn't even get a chance to do anything. It is the story of my life my sister always got away with murder and I would get blamed somehow :) Don't let the blond hair and blue eyes fool you she looks all sweet and innocent on the outside but she is a little schemer. But that is also one of the many reasons that I love her and always have so much fun when she is around!!

Since we were at Walmart I figured I better still buy 15 fish and put them to good use. That night the Mortensen's were welcomed home with a car parked sideways in their garage and fish in every sink and some in the master bath tub :)

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS

Pillow Fight

As a young girl I would dream of the time when I would go to a sleep over and get into the funnest pillow fight ever, just like the ones I saw on TV. Well it never did happen..... but last night after putting Lincoln to sleep I headed into Kaden and Tyler's room where I found myself in a DANGER ZONE pillows where flying everywhere. It was JD & Ty against Kaden. I sat and watched for a few minutes telling JD to be careful with the boys, getting worried because Kaden was getting MAD and hoping all the decorations in their room would survive. It didn't take long before JD and Tyler were on top of me and I was being pulverized with pillows.... luckily Kaden teamed up with me and we took them down :) It was so much fun I died laughing so hard so many different times. 40 minutes later when we were downstairs giving the boys a treat before bed Tyler said, " Wasn't that sooo awesome when my pillow was on top of Mom's head!!" To say the least it was a great night in the Dunn household:) Who would have guessed that at 29 years old with three kids I would get to have the best pillow fight ever ( I am sure there are more to come).

Houston we have a CRAWLER

A few days ago I left Lincoln and Tyler with my parents...when I came back to pick them up the first thing my Mom said to me was "Lisa he is a good little crawler" Me, "WHAT" Lincoln had taken a few steps with his hands the day before but that was it. I think he is going for the title of favorite grandchild and that is why he made his crawling debut to my parents :)
