Aaron, Chad, JD and Sean- the boys played a game of 400 in the lake and were reminded that they aren't 16 anymore!!

The Stokes were nice enough to invite us up to their parents cabin the last weekend in July and my sister Amanda offered to keep Lincoln for the weekend WAHOOO!! It was a great relaxing trip. We didn't even take our boat we sat on the beach all day, rhode 4-wheelers and hung out at the cabin. I absolutely loved being able to sit around and chit the chat with the ladies for hours since I didn't have to worry about chasing little Lincoln around :) Thanks again Amanda it was such a nice break!!

2nd Grade

Kaden started second grade on July 26, 2011. I was not ready to have him headed back to school yet, but it was nice to have a little separation between Kaden and Tyler. He loves his teacher and is doing great!!

Lake Powell 2011 Part:2

Coming Home!!

One night after the kids were asleep I came downstairs to get a drink when I saw my Mom and sister standing on top of chairs I immediately knew, there was a mouse on the house boat. It didn't take long to discover it wasn't just a mouse but a Pack Rat!! We (the guys) moved all the furniture and set up a barricade so the only way it could go was out of the house boat. The guys then chose a "weapon" to try and catch or kill the thing. My Uncle Scott came in a little later and so he was handed a cake pan. Well after JD and Colby were on the ground face to face with this thing it scurried past them and came straight towards us girls... when out of no where my uncle chucked the cake pan and hit the rat. Colby then ran over and picked up the bloody rat with his tongs and disposed of it!! We all died laughing it was so hillarious!!

There was a HUGE sand hill we parked the house boats against and it was quite the hike to get to the top but the kids (and adults) had fun riding the boogie board down it or just rolling down in the soft sand.
I was very nervous watching Kaden cliff jump from inside the boat.

Kaden loves building things and he spent a good hour examining the each rock and then carefully put them in the perfect place.

It was another fun and exhausting year at Lake Powell, my boys love it more and more every year!!

We were sitting at Lagoon eating ice cream (hence the messy face) when Lincoln made a cute face so I took a picture and didn't stop!! My sister started telling him to work it and that's when the hands came up. I love how he can pucker those little lips out to yell at you :)

7 years Old

For Kaden's friend party we took the kids down to my parents house to ride motorcycles!! After a few reminders of where the brakes were things went well. I was to busy running around and giving kids a ride to take any pics but it was a lot of fun and the kids loved it!!
It just so happened to be Kate's actual birthday so we sang to her and Kaden.
After motorcycling we came back to our house opened presents had donuts and then watched Mega Mind out on the deck.
On Kaden's real birthday we found a snake in our yard and he was brave enough to save his Daddy from the terrifying little snake!!
Happy Birthday buddy we love you and appreciate what a great big brother you are. Mom would not be able to handle Lincoln without you!!
He spent the whole day building his new Lego Pirate Castle he got that morning!!
